Closed toed shoes

Long pants/long sleeves or personal disposable chemical resistant painters coveralls/apron (can be purchased from Compositech if notified in advance)

Approved Respirator if you own one. If not you will be supplied a dust mask.
This is an advanced course designed for experienced composite technicians that hope to or are currently involved in the advanced processes of metal to metal bonding.

This course is currently under development but will provide the student with learning objectives such as but not limited to:

The importance of manufacturer specified surface preparation​

Metallic aerostructure damage inspection and damage removal​

Metallic honeycomb core profile shaping

Septum core splicing and profiling contingencies

Bonded doubler shaping and preparation

Adhesive bonding primer application procedures

Manufacturer specific metal treatment processes

Advanced vacuum bagging theory

Bonding temperature control as it relates to heat sinks within aircraft components

Manufacturer specified moisture removal processes

Multi step cure profiles

Environmental considerations of "on-wing" repairs, specifically outside the hanger.
