COMPOSITECH FOUNDATION COURSES

INTRODUCTION to LAMINATING TECHNIQUES

This is where your journey starts working with carbon fiber, kevlar, fiberglass and resin systems. This course is the foundation for the skills you will need to move forward with your carbon fiber, aramid fibers (kevlar) and fibergaass projects. This is a prerequisite for all other courses.

INTRODUCTION to VACUUM BAGGING TECHNIQUES

Your next level in composite skills is how to make your projects lighter, stronger and void free by controlling the fiber to resin ratios and product shape. You will learn these skills and many others as you learn vacuum bagging techniques. This course is a prerequisite for all airfoil courses.

FOAM CORE AIRFOIL CONSTRUCTION

Ever wanted to build a wing for your car or a hydrofoil for your kiteboard? This course teaches the simplest way to do just that... foam core construction. The foundational skills learned in this program can be used in many applications where time, production quantities & strength to weight ratios are important while on a budget.

MOLD CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES

This is an advanced course for those that want to develop the skills to create molds for their composite projects so that accurate and repeatable products can be made. In this course we will use an airfoil section as our mold shape and the mold produced will be used in the "Advanced Airfoil Construction" course should you choose to move to the next level.

ADVANCED AIRFOIL CONSTRUCTION

When high performance, strength and lightness are required; you require the understanding and skills acquired in this course. In this course we dive into laminate and structure design for high strength and ultimate weight savings. Again using an airfoil shape, the skills can be transferred to any high performance advanced composite structure from aircraft to bridge girders. This is our most advanced course in the "foundations" series of courses.
